Easily encode and read magnetic cards for private fleets
The
new Gasboy Mag Card Encoder easily encodes and reads proprietary ABA
Track II magnetic stripe cards to use with Gasboy® fleet management
systems. Conveniently use the Encoder to issue new, or replacement
cards immediately whenever needed and eliminate delays associated with
having to order cards from outside sources.
Universal encoder for low or high coercivity cards
The
MCE Plus accommodates low or high coercivity cards for use with Gasboy®
Series 1000™ and CFN™ systems. Coercivity relates to the amount of
magnetic force necessary to write or overwrite data on the magnetic
stripe. High coercivity requires more magnetic force to write or erase
data than low coercivity and are therefore considered to be less
susceptible to electromagnetic influence or incidental erasure during
everyday use.
Automatically verifies encoded data
Data
is encoded and automatically verified to ensure that data has been
entered precisely and correctly.Windows®-based convenience. With a
standard Windows interface, the MCE encoding software requires no
specialized training, and is easy to use.
Fast, easy, and simple
Card
layout is easily configured into the Encoder via the PC. Constant
fields (such as System ID), incrementing or decrementing fields (such
as Card Number), can be identified for automatic loading by the MCE
Plus. With a pre-loaded card layout, only a few digits of information
are needed to encode a card, which makes encoding simpler and faster.
Cards may be encoded individually or in groups at any time using
existing or previously saved card layouts.
PIN Security
Unique
encrypted PINs (Personal Identification Numbers) can be generated by
the MCE for Windows software via the MCE Plus to use with Gasboy Series
1000 and CFN systems. For added security, the Gasboy® MCE Plus must be
connected directly to the PC that contains the MCE encoding software in
order to generate PINs. Unique PIN layouts are loaded into the system
via the PC interface.
Automatic feed eliminates faulty card swipes
The
system uses motorized encoders that automatically transport the cards
over the heads for a positive write/read operation. The often- faulty
swipes associated with other types of encoders are eliminated. Maximizes
security and reliability. In order to prevent unauthorized use, the MCE
Plus requires a sign-on password to operate the unit.
