Gasboy Teams Up with Chevin Fleet Solutions

The City of Yonkers, NY has chosen to integrate Chevin’s fleet management software, FleetWave, with Gasboy’s comprehensive fuel management system, to help manage its fleet of more than 1,000 units across the city.

The City of Yonkers has chosen to use Chevin Fleet Solutions’ fleet and asset management software, which seamlessly integrates with Gasboy’s electronic fuel management system to provide the city with a unique approach to driver, asset and fuel management oversight.

The city aimed to improve efficiency of the organization’s equipment and save on their fleet’s operating costs, none more important than fuel.

Benefits of this integration include:

  • Every fuel transaction can be maintained, queried and reported on a real-time basis.
  • All fluid details are instantly validated and aggregated against the equipment, insuring data integrity while facilitating cost consolidation against the appropriate asset.
  • The integration is configured to automatically update inventory quantities and valuations.
  • Enables unlimited inventory locations, tank types, pumps and fuel types.
  • Can accommodate unrestricted and completely definable transaction details from PIN codes, asset numbers, quantity, description, cost and odometer updates, eliminating manual input.
  • Gasboy directly integrates with FleetWave’s inventory management, purchasing and billing modules – as a result fuel and fluid inventory levels are seamlessly maintained and able to be replenished using standard purchasing functionality.
  • All purchase details and receipt details are instantly averaged to insure accurate valuations and resulting department charges.

Ron Katz, Senior Vice President, North American Sales at Chevin explains:

“The City of Yonkers fleet department wanted to replace the inefficient system that was part of their Citywide financial software with a scalable web-based solution that could ultimately be deployed to all City departments. By tightly integrating FleetWave with their Gasboy fuel system, their onsite parts supplier and their financial systems, the City will be able to capture more accurate fuel,  maintenance and parts information, reduce and eliminate the need for auxiliary support services, and improve billing accuracy and timeliness.”
